Well, Thanksgiving was really something this year! I spent the beginning of my Thanksgiving vacation heaving into toilets and trash buckets. It must've been a 24 hour bug, though it lingered in the sense that my stomach wasn't right for a couple days still. I'm all better now though.
I did get to finish some swatches. I'm up to the eighth swatch now. And then I put together my blocking board last night. That was cool. Yay me, huh? I'm going in sequence even though I'm itching to get to the cable swatches! The last time I did a cable it took me so many times to get it right. Right gauge, right twist, right everything. I just want to see how fast I catch on this time. Or if it will take forever again to get the hang of it. You know.
I spent some time with my dears. Hubby was adorable and exasperating at equally intermittent times during Thanksgiving break. Son was itching for company on the one hand, and to get out of the house on the other. I was itching to let him go..Very cute. But very talkative these days. :)
The baby girl got her syllables in too. Adorable as she is, she is going to be a talker too. She smiles at anyone she is ready to make conversation with-and it really is a dirty trick! She talked nearly all night last night till something in the morning. I can't remember because after trying to hang out with her, I just turned the lights out and got my z's on. What can I say? I think when she's old enough, I think I'll pass what I'm knitting on to her. It should be done by morning. :)
Happy Knitting!

My Master Knitter L1 materials came yesterday night! I spent the whole night trying to read just one page of it...but see, what had happened was...the hubby and the little girl that live in my home were bouncing off the walls. I couldn't get anything read. You would have thought we had had some laughing gas in that house last night. Well, hopefully, better progress tonight on the MK program, even though it is a laundry night.
For lunch I went to Staples and got all the other stuffs I'd need
to start. And I still have to finish assembling my blocking kit that I just bought from SWS. That thing is huge! But Sheryl says it's still not big enough to block a whole sweater. It's no matter though. I still don't know where I'm going to put that monster.
I know, need to post pics. Maybe next time. I still have to find the camera for now. ;)
Happy Knitting!!

| Your Hair Should Be Purple |
![]() You're always philosophizing and inspiring others with your insights. |
You don't say? Purple, huh? Interestingly enough, I'm working a scarf that is in the purple family as I sit at this computer. Don't know who it's for yet, but the holidays are right around the corner, so you know somebody'll love it. :)
Never considered myself a purply kind of girl though. Maybe blue...The difference between Prince and Blue's Clues, I guess.
TKGA. I renewed my membership this week and I enrolled in the Master Knitters Level I course. I figure, hopefully, by this time next year, I'll be a level one master.
Baby girl is staying with grands while I'm at work. She's really interested in her hands these days. And my knitting needles...She may not know I'm territorial...
Ah, maybe I'll share with her someday. :)

Little one isn't feeling well. She has been back to the doctors and the hospital so often in the last two weeks. Somehow she contracted RSV (bronchiolitis). I believe it was from the daycare she was attending. She's so small. It hurts to hear her coughing and having to deal with so much congestion. Knit a little prayer for her tonight, will you?
Happy Knitting
