Finally!! I've just decided what I'm going to do with that fabulous Noro yarn I got at SWS months ago. Remember this book?!

Well, they had some excellent patterns in there for fingerless gloves and what not. See? She's wearing 'em. I bought Noro a few months ago at a sale that SWS was having. But I liked so many different colors I got a whole bunch of different colors of it. You know, not two balls of this or three balls of that. So I can only make some small items out of the precious little balls of yarn that I did get. I wonder if I can find some yarn to make a complimentary hat...

So I've decided to take the challenge. My hubby has approved and come the end of this month, I will be able to take a few bucks out for some ventures in knitting. One of which will be the Master's Level Courses by the TKGA. I'm so excited!! I want to learn a little more than I do from the books I read. And having someone crit my work might make me approach it with more of an eye toward craftmanship than I originally had when I began knitting. Oh yeah, I've progressed in that area. But I'm sure there's room for improvement. Hey, it's been three years since I learned to knit. Why not?
I've heard that the reviewers are a little harsh. Praying for strength!!

Well, it's a lousy pic. But I thought I'd get it up here before the battery gave out. I still have the camera dock that I stopped using once I got a card reader (it's more compact) and that seems to charge the camera. That'll work until I get a new charger, I suppose. Still bummed about it though. With expenses for the care of two children, the extras get to be a little much at times...
It's a very simple off-white/cream colored A-line dress. I'm still hoping there is a warm day left yet so she will get to wear it. EW! This pick is so yucky! I will try to get a better picture up when I really get a chance. You can't even see the cute little garter stitch borders that give the interest to this dress...well, besides the little bow ribbon that's reaching up to God knows where! Forgive my hasty pic-taking folks...camera trouble's got me stressed! :)
And I would just like to say that I have just received what I deem the best compliment on this project that I could have ever received! After much speculation, and roaming around the dress by hand, my friend said, "You can't even see the seams!!" If you only knew the trouble I had learning how to seam a garment....
Happy knitting everyone!

Guess what? Now that I am able to put some pics up, my charger broke! Aaaargh!!!! I can't believe it. I've only used it for this blog, ever. It's a Kodak Easyshare. It came with the package. I can't believe it is broken. When I called they said since I've had it a little over a year it is not under warranty anymore and they do not do the whole replacement (refurbished) thing. Not that it costs an arm and a leg for a charger. But it's the inconvenience and the fact that it was only lightly used...Sucks. My advice, don't buy one. I'm going to have to find another charger that will break within a year I suppose. I'm going to look for something generic. No sense in buying a brand name that is going to break all by itself anyway. I can't believe it.
Anyway, Mya's dress is near finished. I have to go look for a piece of lace and a button for it. It's off-white. I wish I had done it in pink. But it's still pretty.
