ACT ONE
Mulan goes to Registrar's office and begins talking to Registrar.
Princess Jasmine comes into the Registrar's office
Jasmine: Belle's callin' a meeting upstairs.
Me: What kind of meeting?
Jasmine: I dunno. It's an emergency meeting.
Jasmine beats us to the elevators.
Me: Should I take a note pad or something (Quizzical look...I didn’t know there was some hot topic to have a meeting on at the time.)
Mulan: No, come on. It’s probably just about the Pitney Bowles postage machine.
(Me thinks what in the world would we have to meet for a postage machine for???)
ACT TWO
Mulan gets to the room before Me somehow and she sits in the seat on the corner. Since Me appears to be last getting there, Me sat in the corner too where the door was. As Me is looking around and nobody has pens or pads,
Me: Cool.
Me looks at Belle’s face. Belle is leaning forward with her hands folded on the desk, staring Me dead in the face, cheezing from ear to ear.
Belle's look: Gotcha!
Me sees food behind Belle and some gifts. Me has an epiphany. Me jumps out her seat and runs over to the door, covering her face with her hands.
Cast: Surprise!
Me is very surprised.
Cast eats.
Sleeping Beauty fixed pasta, Snow White fixed potato salad, Cinderella made cake, Anastasia brought fruit salad, Jasmine brought fresh steamed shrimp and cocktail sauce, Serabe brought strawberries and grapes from ACME, and there were a couple other things as well. Great lunch!
Cast plays a game.
Cast has to break off sheets of toilet tissue according to Me's waist line (from the tip of the belly to the back and then back again). Cinderella and Ariel come pretty close since they were two sheets off. But Mulan is right on and wins. Cast rewards Mulan with the door prize which is the roll of toilet paper!
Me opens gifts. Jasmine sits on the edge of her seat.
Mya receives two new bibs, a $20 gift certificate to Baby’s ‘R’ Us, a toy to put in the crib, and a 3-in-1 Car Seat, Carrier and Reclining Stroller set that even tells the temperature of the weather when you take baby outside. It’s like a little Cadillac Convertible! It has a bottle holder and little pockets here and there for storage and what not. Me notes mentally that she can now take the baby home when she’s born--Sweet!! Apparently Mulan was sent to keep Me busy in the Registrar's office the day before so the Cast could sneak that in here.
Nala: We should have more meetings like that!
Curtain comes down.
So anyway, Me thought she'd share the good news. Me's ready for a nap now... :)
Many thanks to the entire Cast!

Well, I've been knitting a little here and a little there. Haven't quite finished anything at all recently though. Haven't written much on the blog either since it was bombarded by a lot of spam. I had to sign up for TypeKey as it seemed to be the most cost effective way to keep that down. Don't think I've gotten any comments since implementing that though. I expected about as much, but that's still a little depressing???
It's the ninth month though and many of you know how that is. I'm told that I've been nesting in my office. Maybe that's the reason I'm so tired when I go home? Still, I spend most of my nights just trying to read myself to sleep. Actually, that's not much different than how it has been the whole time. I was like that with my son as well. It's like a nervous energy? I do have some signals, but..still waiting. Supposedly, I should have the little bundle of "waaaah's" (:)) by July 18th. I plan to work up to the 13th unless labor forces its way in (and just hoping to God that if my water decides to break this time that I am not in the office!!!). Oddly enough, this little bundle appears to be playing quite happily right where she(?) is. Still plenty of movement. If it weren't for the fact that that was consistent throughout my pregnancy, I would wonder if the baby were in frantic distress!! Hubby is putting the crib together and I just got a mattress from one of my coworkers that should do just fine. Lots of clothes for the newborn stage. But still keeping an eye out for a good deal on an all-in-one since I still need the stroller, car seat job.
I'm also praying for a safer delivery and post partum period than I had with my son so for all of you out there who knit prayers into your fabrics, remember to save a stitch for me!
Well, hope you all are having great summers!
