If you'll just take a look-see over at my sidebar there you'll see I LOVE ringin'!!!!! So in honor of my new site address, I added a new ring!!! I just found it surfing. It's called Christian Knitters because, of course, I'm a Christian. Can't say I've lived perfectly, but I do love the Lord, Jesus Christ and I attempt to follow His teachings in His Word on a daily basis. Can't wait to meet some of the knitters on the ring!
Next time I post, I'll put some of the pics of the baby jacket I'm working on even though it did come to a brief halt. How in the world am I going to find yarn to match? I may have to undo the hood and use new yarn??? Stay tuned....

I moved my blog over from TypePad. Actually missa is doing the hard part (thanx missa!). But moving just seemed like the right thing to do...Now give me a few minutes whilst I learn how to post pics and such... :) Hmmm...Let's see if this works. Thanks to katy for the quiz!! :)| English Genius You scored 100% Beginner, 100% Intermediate, 93% Advanced, and 76% Expert! |

I finally got a pic up-and that was no small feat as I'm noticing some changes around TypePad again. Anyway, I think I still may have to make changes to the pic itself. But here is my first completed sweater. And it fits an adult!! Yay me!! I did this sweater with the instructions in The Sweater Workshop. It's big bulky yarn by Lion Brand. It's pretty thick. It could almost be a jacket!! I kept running out of yarn and you can't see it but it starts off white, becomes navy blue and ends up in maroon. But it is a pleasant shift and probably would've been way boring if it was all white anyway. Just thought I'd share this since for me it is a huge accomplishment. Yay!!! Sorry it's so tiny. Click on it and see if it'll come alive for you. :)
We're expecting a little one at or around July 18th! In preparation, I'm making a stretchy baby jacket that will hopefully fit around three to five months since the temperature will be cooler then. I'm on the front left panel right now. Then I'll have to finish up the back and the front right panel and sleeves. It has huge armholes. I've never seen a jacket quite like the design of this. It's appears simple and classic already. I'm glad I used "ma good yarn" :) .
This baby kicks up a storm too! Maybe some booties that will never stay on, huh? ;) Till next time.

Eureka!!
I’ve got it! I have this book called KNITTING WITHOUT TEARS by EZ. You may know it. I started knitting on the little baby jacket. I don’t have a clue what it is really going to look like. I honestly can’t stand black and white pics anymore for knitting books. I love the juicy colors of yarn when I leaf through some pages. They’re just so yummy! I love this color. I don't know the sex of the baby yet. So I'm trying to use something that will work for either a boy or a girl. It's called Antique Turquoise by Nature Spun, worsted weight. It's so pretty! I actually used it to knit some fingerless gloves once from WEEKEND KNITTING and liked it so much, I went back and got another ball!! Don't you love that?!
I’ll probably knit a million mistakes into this jacket. I’m saying that because I already started off knitting a short row every seven rows instead of every seven ridges like the book said. For some reason I must have just made up in my mind even after reading all of the directions that it was seven rows or else!! Sometimes I swear I got a few loose screws somewhere. Anyway, I’ve decided to just truck on though since I’m still fairly near the beginning and have only done three short rows. Besides, that’s the only way I got the last sweater done. If I had stopped and started all the way over because of the size, there wouldn’t have been a completed sweater, I’m sure of it. Pray for me! J
Settling down
I’m settling in to married life so of course my knitting is getting back to a certain rhythm again. He watches the tube whilst I knit away, only occasionally glancing at the American Idols flash up on the screen singing their latest rendition of yet another Alicia Keyes song. I rarely hear any R & B anymore, but I swear, if I hear another on of that chile’s songs, I’ll scream! I don’t listen to a whole lot of secular music anymore. But I must admit, if I hear someone with a decent voice and a decent message, I may tune in for a little longer before I turn it off. And this young lady has a beautiful voice and style. But it’s all those wannabes!! By the time I’ve heard so many other young ladies trying to sing the song better than the author, I’m through!!
My job is beginning to gel. You know…you start off loving every little quirk that you have to learn about your job. Then all too soon you’re wondering when will it be five o’clock already?! Don’t get me wrong, I still love my job. But sometimes it can just fit into that whole daily grind category. I bring my knitting with me everyday and never even get to knit a stitch!! That sucks. So I have to wait to go home. Then there are the little chores of mother and wifehood-which I also appreciate. And then....aaahhh, then, I get to knit.
Anyways, happy knitting all!! Knit me good wishes for this jacket!!
