Aw! Ya got me!!

I just did the newest quizilla test that I found and I got Tomboy!  I think as I got older (you know, when it was no longer cool to play tag at age 14 and 15) I may have strayed to the quiet side.  But this was definitely me until peer pressure hit! That was a sad time for my sneakers.  They stayed clean all the time after that.  I would post the quiz here, but Typepad has changed so much, I have to go and figure out how!! 

Knitting

I haven't figured out what to knit on yet.  Just doing a few little washcloths in seed stitch. I just love the way they feel and they keep my face clear if I use them regularly.  I don't have nearly enough around!

I am considering taking a TKGA class online just to get some more practice while I'm thinking on it.    I'm thinking about the advanced beginner lessons.  Wonder what I'll learn???  Hmmm...Let you know what I decide in a bit.

First Finished Sweater

Yay!! I finished the sweater and then I gave it to my mom as a Valentine's Day gift.  It fit pretty good too!  I was supposed to be making her a jacket way back when.  I was using a Lion Brand pattern that turned out to have mistakes in it.  Too young was I in knitting to figure out how to fix it just then so I abandoned that project.  Kept the yarn though.  Still, this is a pretty good substitute!  Besides, my mom has been so supportive over the last few years, she deserves the biggest of my firsts in this whole knitting endeavor of mine, right?

I'm trying to figure out what I can knit for my son and a newborn in a reasonable amount of time besides blankets.  Ideas anyone?  I'm thinking of tackling another sweater with a mosaic design or something.  I think I'll hit up about.com and knitty for some inspiration!!

Valentine's Day

Rushing to get off work by 6:00 today so I can meet the hubby.  He made reservations somewhere!! Ooooh I'm so curious I might bust!!

Sweater Workshop Sweater

You remember that sweater that I was doing along with that booklet Sweater Workshop, right?  Guess what???  I'm giggling! I'm nearly finished! I have to graft the underarms and then finish the neck and I want to add a few embellishments...but it will be complete!! Yeah!

Okay, so my calculations were a little bit off...it is probably about a 1-2x and thick as all get out.  Yeah, I know...what was I thinking?  If you remember, this was supposed to be for a seven year old! But it is a sweater complete with body, sleeves and neck hole!!  Yes, I must admit...I did have fears of creating something that would fit an alien better than a human, but so what? :p
