Okay. So I'm whining. What of it?
Still Plugging Along
I'm still working on my sweater for my son that may turn out to be a sweater for someone else. It looks like it's just going to be too big for him. See?
I still have to finish the sleeve and make another. I used the simplest one for the first go around. I've read the directions for the next part already and I think I'd better try reading them a few more times before I get there. I didn't get it. Well, at any rate, it'll be a sweater! :)

Did you check out that cool bag in back of the sweater?? Here's another pic of it (ahem, just ignore that laundry in the corner there):
It's soooo big! I got it from AC Moore's which I don't really like to advertise. The prices are just way too high for me for a lot of stuff that I consider to be student grade. But this bag is awesome!! I can carry like six balls of huge, fat yarn, magazines, needles and all types of stuff at one time. I used it for a road trip and I was just so impressed with this bag. I love it!! Of course, I still love my little baggies for my little projects, but this bag is becoming a huge favorite!

I'm also learning peyote (sp?) stitch to do a little baglet. But don't look for that to be done so soon. It's got a spirally design on it that might be cool when it's finished. Or not! LOL! We'll just have to see.
Back to knitting. I'm still working on that fair isle mitten. I hate stopping on it because I always think I skipped a row or something? I really did though but I couldn't tell until I got too far. But I'm going to keep going or else I'll never get it done. I have the hang of catching the yarn though with either hand and that's pretty cool. No more of those long floats anymore. Now, if I can get a sweater done and fair isle at the same time by next year....

My Beloved Blog
Dear Blog,
Well, I've been MIA again for a bit. I'm so sorry to have neglected you for so long. I actually have been on the go for quite awhile and my laundry is showing it!! I have been knitting though. This year I took my very first trip to a Knit Out! It was in Pennsylvania. Oh, you would've been proud! I had a lot of fun learning fair isle. I think since I had a lot of practice with my mitten already, I took to it pretty well. I still can't get any faster though (grumble, grumble).
Been working on my son's sweater. The body is done but it's the sleeve I'm having trouble with. It looks too big. If it's based on percentages, what gives? I kept starting it over. Then I realized that I was trying it on my own hand and to be honest, my wrist isn't much bigger than my son's wrist! Maybe that's why! Still, I have to keep an eye on it. Don't tell the other knitters....but, I'm going to finish the sweater though even if the measurements are off. Just want to see how that joining works. I can't help it. If I don't get this sweater done, I'll cry!
I'm working on a blanket for a gift for someone from someone else (How did I ever get myself into that one?). And I'm still procrastinating on sending certain gift items out. But lot's o knittin' goin' on!
I'm also working on my second beaded bracelet! It's so pretty already. I'll let you see it soon. I'm getting DSL (I think). So my inet is not going to be operational for a minute. I'm writing you this from work.
Don't be mad. I'll write again as soon as I can.
